Service Description
MelodyDesk is an all-in-one platform designed specifically for music educators to manage their teaching practice, including but not limited to:
- Student management and progress tracking
- Lesson scheduling and calendar management
- Payment processing and billing
- Communication tools for teachers, students, and parents
- Educational resources and curriculum planning
- Performance analytics and reporting
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our service at any time with reasonable notice.
Account Registration and Eligibility
Eligibility
To use MelodyDesk, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old or have parental/guardian consent
- Be a qualified music educator or authorized representative of an educational institution
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain the security and confidentiality of your account credentials
Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- All activities that occur under your account
- Maintaining accurate account information
- Notifying us immediately of unauthorized access
- Using strong passwords and enabling security features
- Complying with all applicable laws and educational regulations
Acceptable Use Policy

You may use MelodyDesk for legitimate educational purposes, including:

Student Data and Educational Records
As a music educator using MelodyDesk, you acknowledge that:
- You have appropriate authority to input and manage student information
- You are responsible for obtaining necessary consents for student data collection
- You will use student data solely for legitimate educational purposes
- You will maintain appropriate security measures for student information
MelodyDesk serves as a processor of student data on your behalf and will handle such data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.
Payment Terms
Subscription Fees
Access to MelodyDesk may require payment of subscription fees. By subscribing, you agree to:
- Pay all applicable fees when due
- Provide accurate billing information
- Authorize recurring charges for subscription renewals
- Accept responsibility for all charges incurred under your account
Payment Processing
For payment processing within the platform:
- MelodyDesk facilitates payments between you and your students/parents
- We may charge transaction fees for payment processing
- You are responsible for tax compliance and reporting

Refunds and Cancellations
Refund policies will be clearly communicated at the time of purchase. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period, and you retain access until that time.

MelodyDesk and all related content, features, and functionality are owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not:
- Copy, modify, or create derivative works of our platform
- Use our trademarks or branding without permission
- Remove or alter copyright notices or proprietary markings
Your Content
You retain ownership of content you upload to MelodyDesk, including lesson plans, student records, and educational materials. By using our service, you grant us a limited license to:
- Store, process, and transmit your content to provide the service
- Make backup copies for data protection purposes
- Use aggregated, anonymized data for service improvement
You represent that you have all necessary rights to use and share the content you upload.
Service Availability and Support
We strive to maintain high service availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may:
- Perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice
- Temporarily suspend service for emergency maintenance
- Limit access during periods of high demand
We provide customer support through various channels and will respond to inquiries within reasonable timeframes based on your subscription level.
Account Termination
Termination by You
You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting support. Upon termination:

Termination by Us

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

- Warranties regarding third-party content or services
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for:

- Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
- Damages resulting from service interruptions or data loss
- Actions of third parties or events beyond our control
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MelodyDesk, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights.
Dispute Resolution
We encourage resolving disputes through direct communication. For formal disputes:

- Unresolved disputes may be subject to binding arbitration
- Class action lawsuits are waived in favor of individual arbitration
